The consistently built up Archive reaches back to VALIE EXPORT's school days, which are mirrored in drawings and exercise books. Video footage, photographs, negatives, sketches, drafts, screenplays and models are records of the artistic life's work. Posters, invitations and reviews give evidence of her presence in the public sphere. Research materials, lectures, slides, correspondences and her extensive personal library also document VALIE EXPORT, the international teacher, scientifically conceptualising artist, and curator.

The continuous systematic and digital registration of the holdings commenced right after the opening of the VALIE EXPORT Center Linz.
